Long time Paris resident Alice Irene Stratton passed away peacefully the morning of Friday, September 13th, 2019 at Park Lane Terrace, in her 92nd year.
Beloved wife to the late Dennis Roy Stratton (1983). She will be dearly missed by her children; Cathy, Ted (Debbie), Kelly Providenti (Sam). Cherished grandmother to Scott MacDonald (Jackie), Steve MacDonald (Claire), Kurtis Stratton (Amanda), Amber Stratton, Carson and Cassidy Providenti. Great grandmother to Jason, Ryan, Jenna and
Kayson.
Survived by sister-in-law Bea McChesney and brother-in-law Jim Robb, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Predeceased by her parents Thomas and Ellen McChesney (nee Coulter) and her siblings; Elizabeth, Nellie, Martha, Marion, John and Carol.
Born in the Delaware area and later settling in Paris at the age of 16. Alice was a dedicated employee of White Mop Wringer Company and member of St.Paul’s United Church. She found great joy in sewing and was a skilled seamstress for many years.
Cremation has taken place.
Friends may call at the Wm. Kipp Funeral Home, 184 Grand River St. N. Paris on Friday September 20, 2019 from 10-11 AM. A Memorial Service will follow at 11:00 AM. Family interment Paris Cemetery.
Donations to St. Paul’s United Church or Park Lane Terrace Memorial Garden would be appreciated.
