Obituary for Alvaro Joseph Di Livio
DI LIVIO, Alvaro Joseph
Peacefully, at Brantford General Hospital, on Monday December 4, 2023, of Brantford and formerly of Hamilton and Milton, in his 84th year.
Alvaro was born in Castel Vecchio Di Calvisio, Italy , he immigrated to Canada in the late 50’s settling Hamilton. He served as a Probation and Parole Officer with Ontario Government; he was the first blind probation and parole officer in Canada.
Beloved husband to the late Marion (nee Durham – 2021); loved dad to Nadia (Christopher Thom); cherished “Tone” to Bronte and Frank; dear brother to Rosaria Klein (Jim) and brother in law to Fay Benson. He was a best friend to Guide Dog Rex and previous Amos, Sam, Wesley, and Henry.
Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by siblings Serafina Bracco (Aldo), Nello (Linda), and Gerardino (Anna).
Friends may call at the WM. Kipp Funeral Home, 184 Grand River St. N. Paris on Monday December 11, 2023 from 3-6 PM for a time of Celebration. Private family Interment Princeton Cemetery.
