Obituary for Carole Ann Attlebery (Markle)

Carole Ann Attlebery died on Saturday the 9th of January at the Stedman Hospice in Brantford. She was 77 years of age. She was dearly loved and bereaved by her husband Edward, her son Eric, and her daughter Jennifer wife of Tom Oviedo, and her grandsons Tomas and Cole. She will be greatly missed by her brothers Clayton (Linda) and John Markle, sister-in-law Marcy Attlebery, as well as her nieces and nephews: Andy Attlebery, Ted Attlebery, Jonathan Markle, Jamie Markle, Jannell Scott, and Janet Markle (and their families). She was predeceased by her parents Leslie and Margaret (Sutherland) Markle.
Carole was raised on the Markle homestead farm in South Dumfries, was educated at White School, PDHS, and BCI from where she was recruited by Ontario Hydro by whom she was employed at the Paris district offices until her marriage and the arrival of her children. She returned to the workforce in the retail sector working at the Homespun Shoppe in Paris and Ayr.
Carole was active in the Paris Lioness Club and the Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed playing cards with friends, group fitness classes, dancing, and coaching softball. In every instance she gave her all, meeting each challenge with courage and determination.
She was an outstanding wife, mother, grandma, and friend. She will be fondly remembered and dearly missed.
A Private family service was held with interment Ayr Cemetery.
