Seib, Carole Ann (nee Lowe)
Suddenly, at Joseph Brant Hospital, Burlington on Thursday July 14, 2022, of Burlington and formerly of Paris, in her 75th year.
Beloved mom to Stephen, Rob (Michelle) and Jennifer Keenan (Ralph Petermann); cherished grandma to Emma-Leigh, Molly, Bailey, Alex and Rachael; dear sister to the late David (Denise), the late Ken (Cathy), John (Bernadine), Brenda, and Lisa Rattie (Rick). Survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, John and Nancy Lowe.
Carole was an incredible combination of funny and ridiculous, even though she intended to be neither. She had a love of chocolate, ice cream and her grandchildren in that order. Much like the immense love of chocolate, she never lost her love of Barry Manilow and was a long standing “Fanilow”. She could make homemade caramel corn that delighted the masses, and never met a processed cheese slice that she didn’t like.
Despite all the limitations her physical body threw at her, she persevered with dogged determination. Once she knew she couldn’t go home, she decided it was time to be with her much missed parents, brothers Ken and David, and grand nephew Daniel and made a quick exit to join them. Mom, we will miss you always and know that you will always be with us. To quote the ancient Petermann “you never lose the ones you love, you just find them in your heart”.
Special thanks to family who were able to be with us when Mom passed. Your love and support was definitely felt by Mom, and was a big help for Rob, Steve and I. Special thanks to the palliative care team at Joseph Brant Hospital, with a special shout out to Nurse Kim and Social Worker Amanda who made our last days with her the best they could possibly be.
Cremation has taken place. A family Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
