DAVIS, Clare James
Suddenly, at home, on Monday September 23, 2013, a longtime resident of Ayr, in his 62nd year. Clare was a 31 year member of the Ayr Fire Department, he was employed as a butcher and was an avid outdoorsman.
Beloved husband to Linda (nee Pottruff); loved dad to Charlotte Ulch (Randy), Shelley Cobb (Paul), and Cody (Cassie); cherished papa to Pat, Harley, Rosalyn, Jacob, and Jared; dear brother to Laslie Hallman (the late Bruce), Ron (Nancy), Terry, and Brenda Riddel (Bob) and brother in-law to Ann McDonald (Bob) and David Pottruff (Luanne). Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by a daughter Melissa, his parents, Jim and Edith and in-laws Ivan and Marie Pottruff.
Friends may call at the Ayr Chapel, Wm. Kipp Funeral Home, 183 Northumberland St. Ayr on Saturday 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
Funeral Services will be held at Knox United Church (92 Northumberland St. Ayr) on Sunday at 1:30 PM. Cremation followed by Interment Ayr Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Knox United Church or Sick Kids would be appreciated.
