Obituary for David Thomas "Dave" Moore

Moore, David Thomas
June 27, 1959 – June 19, 2022
Suddenly, while surrounded by family, at Brantford General Hospital, on Sunday, June 19, 2022, a lifelong resident of the Paris community died at the age of 62 years. Beloved son of Lloyd and Barbara Moore (nee McAllister): Cherished husband and best friend of Cindy, loved father and grandfather to Amy Cressman (Ben) and their children Avery and Chace; JD (Kate) and their children Hudson and Ally; Jeff Hamilton (Christy) and their children, Beau, Caleb and Emersyn; and Justin Hamilton (Kate). Dear brother to Alan (Nancy), Nancy Easton (Rob), and Ross (Karen). Deeply missed by his mother-in-law Catherine Coffin, many cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family, as well as Murphy, the dog he said he never wanted but that never left his side.

It would take more than a few sentences to describe who Dave was and the impact he had on everyone he met and loved. He was a devoted husband, caring father, loving grandpa, loyal friend and hardworking man. Dave was a keen business man and successful entrepreneur. He first showcased his talent when he opened Ayr Tractor in 1988 alongside his partners. The countless hours, months and years Dave put in to his career were admired by his peers. Premier now currently has eight locations, of which Dave was so proud. His charm, quick wit and intelligence drew in any and everyone with whom he crossed paths. The pain felt by his absence, already insurmountable, is but a small reflection of the hole he has left in our hearts. Dave will always be remembered by his infectious smile, his love of Harleys and an ice cold Caesar on the deck but mostly for his devotion to his wife, family and friends. The world is a smaller, quieter place without him here to share it.

Friends may call at the Wm. Kipp Funeral Home, 184 Grand River Street N. Paris on Thursday, June 23, 2022, from 2-4 and 7-9pm. The service to celebrate Dave’s life will take place in the Funeral Home Chapel on Friday at 11am. Interment at Glen Morris cemetery to follow. The Service will be live streamed.
