Ashby, Donna Marie (nee Misener)
Peacefully, at home on Thursday April 9, 2020, in her 85th year.
Loving wife of the late Harry (2015) for 61 years and proud and dear Mother of Douglas, Terry (Wes), Heather (Dan), Dennis (Becky).
Donna was also blessed with ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was raised in Brantford and moved to Paris after her marriage in 1954. Like many other Paris residents, Donna worked at Penman’s Textile Mill.
While raising her children, she was supportive of her husband in building his business, M & A Automotive, which she affectionately called, “Harry’s cottage on the Grand.”
She was a member of St. James Anglican church and served as a board member for a number of years. Donna was also active in the (Girl) Guiding community as a Ranger Leader.
An avid reader, Donna also enjoyed morning puzzles from the newspaper, shopping, lunch and Jeopardy. Contacting her in any way between 7:30 and 8:00 pm on a weeknight was STRICTLY FORBIDDEN!
She loved travel and her favourite destination was Disney World where she had been many times. In 2018, she enjoyed her last EARTHLY visit with Mickey.
Donna will always be remembered for her wonderful sense of humour, her infectious AND contagious laugh. She was loved for her generosity and kindness which lives on in her children.
Interment Paris Cemetery.
