Obituary for Dorothy Margaret Davis (Ollmann)

Davis, Dorothy Margaret (nee Ollmann),
Peacefully, at Telfer Place, Paris, on Monday March 2, 2020, formerly of Canning and Princeton in her 91St year.
Her Faith kept her going. She was very active in Sacred Heart Church in Princeton and Sacred Heart Church in Paris. Dorothy was a member of the CWL since she was 16 years old. She volunteered many hours at St. Francis School helping with prayers and music. She lived for music; it soothed her soul. She led and sang in many choirs throughout the years. She spent most of her married life on the farm and along with her husband Dennis raised 5 Children. They grew sweet corn and was known on the Toronto Wholesale Market as the “Corn Lady.” Mom looked after driving the big truck loaded with corn to the market. She loved children and helped many children in the community who were in need. She spent a lifetime volunteering in the church, in the community and with her family.
Beloved wife of the late Dennis (2012) for 63 years; loved Mom to Barry (Debbie) of Belle Ewart, Mary Ann Bell (Warren) of Burford, Bob (Mary Jane) of Canning, Sally Dillabough (Don) of Paris, and Teresa Alvarez (Joe) of Waterloo; cherished grandma to Chris (Joan) Davis, Tara (Matt) Davis, Matt (Amy) Davis, Mike (Kassandra) Henderson, Dale (Kristi) Henderson, Brad (Chantal) Davis, Stephanie (Chad) Pottruff, Jeremy (Tabitha) Davis, Corey (Emily) Davis, Emma (Derek) Ens, Thomas, Madelyn, Riley, and Ben; and great grandma to Paige, Brianna, Tiffany, Nathan, J.J., Kai, Cameron, Ella, Summer, Jasper, Skyler, Oliver, Pierson, a baby girl on the way, Adley, Riker and Henry.; dear sister to Roberta Davis and sister in law to Georgina Zimmerman. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. She will be missed by Terry Pokoj-Cassidy (Tom).
Predeceased by her infant twins, a grandson DJ (1981), a granddaughter Chelsea (2017), a son in law Don Henderson (2009), and 9 brothers and sisters.
Friends may call at the Wm. Kipp Funeral Home, 184 Grand River St. N. Paris, on Friday March 13, 2020 from 2-4 & 7-9PM. Prayers will be recited on Saturday at 10:15 AM followed by transfer to Sacred Heart RC Church for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 with Father Joseph Okoko celebrant. Interment Princeton Cemetery. Following the burial all are welcomed to Princeton Centennial Hall for a reception.
