Our deepest sympathies to the family. Our daughter Ashley was one of the PSW's at Telfer and Doug held a very special part of her heart. Each night before going home she would be sure to go see him with a "see you tomorrow right Dougie!". Her last shift at Telfer before heading back to university was the afternoon that Doug passed. Although it certainly wasn't the way that she wanted to end her summer employment, she definitely felt it was meant to be that she could be there for his final moments. I hope you can find comfort in knowing that "Dougie" (how Ashley would refer to him) was cared for deeply.
