Obituary for Douglas James "Doug" Moore

Moore, Douglas James (1931-2020)
Peacefully, at Park Lane Terrace, Paris, on Thursday January 30, 2020, in his 89th year with Iris holding his hand and all family close by. Doug and Iris (Nee Campbell) were married for almost 63 years.
Dear Father of Judy (Ian Bell) of Paris and Dan (Natalie Valois) of Whitecourt, AB; cherished grandfather of Nick and Zack DeBruyn and Alexandre and Ophelie Moore. Doug is survived by his brother, Ron and family.
Predeceased by parents Bill and Sadie Moore. He was the appreciated son in law to the late Fred and Alice Campbell and special nephew to the late Clem and Alice Burdis.
Doug was a lifelong Paris Junction resident. He was a milk man for many years and then worked for the Brant County Board of Education. He enjoyed walking and working outdoors, had a great passion for history and was a member of the Stamp Club.
Alzheimer’s impacted the last decade of his life, but with the ever-resourceful Iris at his side he enjoyed much of it.
Friends may call at the Wm. Kipp Funeral Home, 184 Grand River St. N. Paris, on Tuesday February 4, 2020 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM for memorial visitation. A Memorial service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday at 11:00 AM with Pastor Ralph Meiszinger officiating. Interment Paris Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Park Lane Resident’s Council would be appreciated.
