Peacefully, at Park Lane Terrace, Paris, on Sunday August 16, 2009, a longtime resident of Paris, in his 84th year.
Eric was a life member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 29 Paris.
Beloved husband ro the late Annie (nee Quackenbush - 1972); loved dad to Sandra Ashby (the late Malcolm); of Nova Scotia, the late Russ (1964) and father in law to Bev; cherished grandfather to 10 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and 10 great great grandchildren; dear brother to Marjorie, Paul, and Ken and step brother to Barbara. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a great grandson Joey, a great great grandson Curtis, and sisters Madeline, Joyce and Janet.
Friends may call at Wm. Kipp Funeral Home, 184 Grand River St. N. Paris, on Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Funeral Services will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday at 11:00 AM. Interment Paris Cemetery. A Legion service under auspice Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 29 Paris will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday at 6:30 PM.
