Frances had a wonderful life and she lived it well. She lived in Princeton her entire life until her early 90’s. Her family, and in particular her siblings, nieces, and nephews, were an integral part of her life and wellbeing. When she met Frank Cowan, they were destined to be partners, not only in life, but also in business. Frances became a key member of the management team at Frank Cowan Company for many years, retiring in her mid-eighties. Her work life and personal life overlapped and many of the Frank Cowan Company employees were also her good friends, and she was appreciative of all of them. Frances and Frank not only enjoyed life, but they left the world having made a real difference in many people’s lives.
Throughout her life Frances supported and contributed to her church, community, and many undertakings designed to improve the lives of people everywhere. In particular, over the last few years, Frances supported the innovative and tailored delivery of Conestoga College’s Personal Support Worker program in order to minimize barriers for students. She felt strongly about the need for improving the quality of training and professional recognition for all those who provide care to seniors as their needs evolve.
Cremation has taken place. The family will be hosting a celebration of her life at the Princeton Centennial Hall, Main Street South, Princeton on Friday, March 11th from 11:00am to 2:00pm. Prayers and eulogies will be offered at 11:30AM. Interment later Princeton Cemetery
The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to the many caregivers from Telfer Place and Concepts of Care who provided her with love and support throughout the last few years. Donations in memory of Frances may be made to a charity of your choice.
