Gemmell, George Arthur –
With heavy heart the family announces the passing of George on Thursday November 1, 2018, a life long resident of Ayr, in his 74th year.
Beloved husband of 54 years to Greta (nee Newcombe); cherished dad to his daughter Belinda Fried and her husband Brad; Loved Grampie to Ryan & Gillian and Jay & Shayna and great Grampie to Ellis; dear brother and best buddy to Clifford and Ken (Peggy); special brother in law to Fulton and Bessie, Geraldine and George, Elsie and Don, Roger and Bonnie, Jeff and Anson. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his parents, Ann and Gib Gemmell.
A special thank you to Dialysis Team at Grand River Hospital for the excellent care he received. George will always be remembered for his smile, his killer mustache, and his love for golf, hockey and baseball.
The family asks you to raise a glass, hockey stick or even a golf club in a toast to honour a wonderful man.
Cremation has taken place.
Celebration of Life will be held at Christ Anglican Church, Ayr on Sunday November 25, 2018 from 1-4 PM.
