Life Story for George Hall

Suddenly, at home, on Monday May 31, 2010 in his 86th year.
George was born in Letterbreen, Northern Ireland and immigrated to Canada in 1952. He lived in Scarborough for many years and moved to Ayr in 1993. Although he worked very hard as a driver for the TTC for 35 years, George felt most at home with a spade or a shovel in his hands. He remained an Irish farmer at heart, and was known for the exceptional care he took in maintaining his lawn, hedges and gardens. He was never happier than when he was out in the fresh air putting in a good day’s work; especially if that work was helping family or friends.
Beloved husband to Joan (nee McCourt); loving dad to Arlene LeCrom (Robert), Mark (June), Joyce Lewis (Grant) and Janice Weiler (Rich); cherished Grandpa to Jacqueline and Nicole Lewis, Ben, Glen, John, and Dan Hall, and Tristan Weiler; dear brother to Florrie, Margaret and Tommy in Ireland. Also survived by many nieces and nephews in both Canada and Ireland. Predeceased by his sister Irene, and brothers John, Ernie, and Edwin.
At George's request there will be no service. Interment will be in the Ayr Cemetery.
Special thanks to Dr. H. Vlaar, the Waterloo regional Police (Tim Jones), Ayr Fire Department, and Brant Ambulance Services for their help and support. Donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated. Online condolences or donations may be arranged through www.wmkippfuneralhome.com or by contacting Wm. KIPP 519-632-8228
