Mills, Grace Darling (nee Byer)
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Grace Darling Mills (nee Byer), at Park Lane Terrace, Paris ON, on Saturday October 22, 2022, in her 93rd Year. Cherished wife of the Late Robert Kenneth Mills (1986). Beloved mother to Henry (Sharon), Heather Burman (Ron), April Farrell (Dave), Wendy McNiven (Ken), Beverley Burke (Jim) and Wayne (Wendy). Much loved by her 17 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Sadly missed by her sister Gloria Gillion and brother William Byer (Sandy); brother-in-law Jim Mills (Ethel) as well as her extended family. Predeceased by her parents Joseph and Pearl Byer (nee Phillips); sisters Arlene Hutcheon (Bud), Gladys Collins (Don); brother, Vernon Byer and in-laws Wesley Gillion, Doug Mills (Vi). Grace was the oldest sibling of 6 and was raised on the French River. Grace enjoyed camping, fiddle music, canasta and lawn bowling. Grace and Ken enjoyed Standardbred racing and many wins with Egyptian Hazard. Grace’s greatest accomplishment in life were her 6 children and the families they have created. Visitation will take place at the Wm. Kipp Funeral Home 184 Grand River St. N., Paris Ontario on Wednesday, October 26, 2022, from 7-9 pm. Visitation will continue on Thursday October 27 from 10-11 a.m. followed by a service in the Funeral Home Chapel at 11 a.m.
