Life Story for Gwendolyn Hilda Parkhill (Pye)

Parkhill, Gwendolyn Hilda (nee Pye)

After a lengthy illness, at the Pines Long Term Care Centre, Bracebridge, formerly of Paris, in her 91st year.
During the war, Gwen was employed at the Foreign Affairs Office in London, England. Following the war, she worked at the UNRRA (United Nations Relief and Rehabilitation Administration) which later became the UN. Mrs. Parkhill was a legal clerk employed at several law offices in Brantford before establishing her own title search business. She was a member of the Brant Guild of Colour Photography, the Brant Field Naturalists and the Grand River Mining Association.
Beloved wife to the late Howard (2009); loved mother to Richard (Karen); cherished grandmother to Tracie (Sam) Fasullo, Scott, and Kevin (Stacey); and great grandmother to Ryan, Braeden, Vanessa, Sammy Jr. and Nathan. Gwen is the last surviving member of her family. Friends may call at the Wm. Kipp Funeral Home, 184 Grand River St. N. Paris on Monday from 7-9 PM. Funeral Services will be held at St. James Anglican Church (8 Burwell St. Paris) on Tuesday at 11:00 AM with Father Stephen Hendry officiating. Interment St. James Anglican Cemetery. Donations to St. James Anglican Church or the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated
