Harry Thomas Baker Obituary

A bright light has left us yesterday. With sadness we announce the unexpected passing of Harry Thomas Baker on Tuesday, September 6, 2022. Harry was born on January 7, 1931 in Niagara Falls, Ontario to Harry Baker and Beatrice Baker (nee Dell). Raised in Ancaster, ON, Harry met and married the love of his life, Betty (Audrey Elizabeth) Baker (nee Marshall) also from Ancaster on August 30, 1952. Harry and Betty just celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary with family at their home at Park Lane Terrace Residence in Paris, ON.
Harry’s greatest passions were his family, entertaining in their wonderful homes in Ancaster and Huntsville, the love of song and his long career with American Can Company (Ball Packaging) in Hamilton, Philadelphia, Saint Louis, and Toronto starting as a Machinist after his apprenticeship at Westinghouse Hamilton and retiring as a senior Canadian leader for Ball Packaging.
He is in our thoughts and now reunited with his deceased sons Bradly and Richard. He is survived by his wife Betty and brother Larry and wife Myrna. Harry was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather to his son Randy and daughter-in-law Robin; son Harry and daughter-in-law Trish Foden; daughter Maureen Campbell and son-in-law Bob; daughters-in-law Janice Baker (widow to Brad) and Cecile Mandarang (widow to Rick); grandchildren Renee Kneller and husband Denny and children Austin and Cate, Brenda Sheppard and husband Ryan and children Haylee and Mason, Justin Baker and wife Amanda, Kennedy Campbell and Colin Campbell.
