Obituary for Helen Mary Hamor (Foulds)

Hamor, Helen Mary (nee Foulds)
We lost a true angel and community builder very suddenly on Friday December 29, 2023 at the Hamilton General Hospital, with her husband Jerry holding her hand and by her side. Helen was a long-time resident of Paris Ontario, in her 79th year.
Beloved wife to Jerry for 50+ years; loved mom to Doug (Lesli) and Karen Kritzer (Darren); cherished Nana to Kate, Avery, Coltin and Presley. Dear sister to Bob and Phyllis Foulds and sister-in-law to Lena and Clay Herring and Mike and Cathy Hamor. Also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Predeceased by her parents W.D. (Bill) and Marg Foulds and sister Evelyn (Stuart Sharp).
Helen was a longtime member of both Glen Morris United Church and St. Paul’s United Church; she was a dedicated volunteer and friend to all those around her. Her happy place was at home, with Jerry, keeping things tidy and neat, baking (especially for her Grandchildren) and connecting often with family, friends and neighbours. She was passionate about keeping in touch with her loved ones through frequent notes, cards, phone calls, emails and text messages. She was always "checking in" to make sure those around her were happy and healthy and would always lend an empathetic ear.
A Memorial Service to celebrate Helen’s Life will be held at St. Paul’s United Church (48 Broadway St W. Paris) on Saturday January 6, 2024 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Sarah Horvath officiating. A Celebration of Life reception at Paris Fairgrounds to follow the Memorial Service. A private interment in the Spring will take place at the Glen Morris Cemetery.
Any donations can be made to St. Paul’s United Church, Glen Morris Cemetery or Meals on Wheels. With appreciation.
