Obituary for Helen Pearl "Pearl" Hutchinson

HUTCHINSON - Helen Pearl
Affectionately known as Pearl, passed away with her family at her side at Stedman Community Hospice on Friday September 3, 2010, in her 88th year; the eldest child of the late Helen (Cracknell) and James Hutchinson; predeceased by her brother Allan (1955); left to mourn are her siblings, Richard Hutchinson of Calgary, Ruby Rogers (the late Jack) of Paris and Bertha Cook (the late Bud) of Matheson; very special Aunt of Edith Stone (Joe), Helen Campbell, Colleen Tapp (Lionel), Clarence Cook (Ann), Alice Jezic (Frank), Charles Cook, and Laura Cook; great Aunt to Cameron, Marshall and Valerie Stone, Michelle and Robert Beckham, Natasha, Pascal, and Andrea Tapp, Jennifer-Leigh and Rebecca Jezic, and great great aunt of Zoe, Tyler, Lucas and Jacob.
Pearl was a long time employee of Penmans as a looper and a knitter. Her passion was her garden and nature. She was a 5-pin bowler at the former Broadway Lanes. She enjoyed a good game of euchre and played at the Paris Lawn Bowling Club on Fridays and in the Marathon Euchre League. She could make it on two cards and get through. She was an avid Toronto Maple Leaf and Toronto Blue Jay fan following them faithfully. As well, Pearl took great interest in her family's achievements.
Friends called at Wm. Kipp Funeral Home, 184 Grand River St. N. Paris on Sunday September 5, 2010 where funeral service was held in the funeral home chapel on Monday September 6, 2010, Rev. Hilary Merritt of St. Paul’s United Church officiated.
Interment Paris Cemetery with her parents and her brother.
