Obituary for Ilona Dunai (Bujaki)
Ilona Dunai
Peacefully with her family by her side, on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at the age of 89, Ilona Dunai (nee Bujaki), went to be with her Lord.
Born in Hungary on January 31 1929, Ilona was the beloved wife and companion of the late Frank Dunai, and Loving mother to Erika (Lutz) Kaukel of Ayr.
Much treasured Oma, to Sheena (Joe), Pamela (James), Heidi, and Brandon (Emily).
Her pride and joy, Ilona was nana to ten great grandchildren, Abby, and Emma, of Mission Texas; Joshua of London; Sean, Patrick, Victoria and Faith of Kitchener; Gwen, Bree and Tessa of Ayr.
Ilona is survived by her sisters Klari Nagy ( the late Lajos), Juliska Ocsodi (Laszlo), of Hungary; Predeceased by her parents Jozsef and Roza Bujaki, her sisters Gizela, Roza, Mariska, her brothers Jozef and Sandor.
We would like also to extend our heartfelt gratitude for the extraordinary and loving care the team at Nithview Mennonite Home has provided to Ilona over the past 6 years.
We shall miss our sweet Oma, “God saw you getting tired, so he put His arms around you, and whispered ‘Come to me’."
Ilona will be remembered at a private memorial with interment at a later date at Williamsburg Cemetery Kitchener.
