Exner, Irene (nee Fritz)
Peacefully, at Fairview Mennonite Home, Cambridge, on Wednesday May 1, 2019, in her 90th year.
Beloved wife to the late Joe (2017); loved Mom to Mike (Jackie); cherished Oma to Terry and Chelsey (Rick) and Great Oma to Evan and Parker; Irene was the last surviving member of her family. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her sister Dorothy Engel (Don) and a brother Lorne Fritz (Belle).
Irene was born in Normanby Twp., Grey County, Irene and her husband Joe owned and operated the Canadian House Hotel in Paris, ON, she also was employed with Long Manufacturing in Cambridge. She loved attending many sporting events for her family. Hockey, ringette and slo-pitch were her favourites.
Irene was a long-time member of St. Ambrose RC Church in Cambridge.
Cremation has taken place.
Friends are welcome to join the family at the Grand Valley Golf and Country Club 1910 Roseville Rd. Cambridge on Thursday May 9, 2019 from 2-5 PM for a time of Celebration of Irene’s Life.
