Irwin Harold Williamson
Passed away peacefully, at Brantford General Hospital, on Tuesday July 11, 2023, in his 87th year. Beloved husband to Marie Williamson (nee McHutchion) for over 64 years; Cherished father to Karen Tamilia (Frank), Suzanne Collings and Tracey Williamson (Tyler Wilson); Loving grandfather to Jacob, Samantha (Matthew) and Sara Collings; Benjamin Tamilia, and Lana, Levi Wilson. Sadly, missed by his brothers Leroy, Glen (Annette) and Robert (the late Ann) as well as nieces, nephews and extended family. Predeceased by his parents Harry and Ruth Williamson (nee Brown). Irwin was born and raised in Paris and joined the RCAF at age 17. He served on bases in Europe and in Canada during his military career as an Air Frame Technician. Being one of the first to work on the CF 104 plane. Retiring from the services he continued his working career serving the folks in his hometown community of Paris as Parks and Recreation Assistant manager managing the Syl Apps arena, parks, and Paris Pool until his second retirement. In his spare time, he relaxed by reading and woodworking. Mostly Irwin loved being around his family, enjoying building and repairing anything his children and grandchildren delt him. Friends may call at the Wm. Kipp Funeral Home, 184 Grand River St. N. Paris, on Friday July 14, 2023, from 6-9 PM. Funeral Services will be celebrated in the Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday July 15 at 11 AM. Reception to follow. Private Interment St. James Cemetery Paris.
