Kathleen “Mary” Henry (nee Hopper)
Born and raised in Paris Ontario and then of Brantford, Mary passed away at The Brantford General Hospital surrounded by her family, on Tuesday February 01, 2022 at the age of 73 years after a long battle with cancer. Beloved wife to Bill for 48 years; loved Mum to Kelly and Julie (Clay); cherished grandmother to Caelyn, Kathryn, and Rowan. Dearly missed by her siblings Joanne Daniels and Fred Hopper. Also survived by niece, Sylvia Varga, nephew Peter Daniels, and several cousins. Predeceased by her parents Lloyd and Delphene Hopper (nee Redfern).
Prior to becoming Mum to Kelly and Julie, Mary was a long-term employee in the office of Penman’s Ltd. in Paris. She held a life-long love of the outdoors which she shared with the children and grandchildren. This included cross country skiing, cycling, swimming, hiking, camping, running and horsemanship. She earned several medals in cross country ski events. inspired many people who knew her and taught many children to swim when she was a lifeguard at the Paris pool. Honouring Mary’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no formal services.
