Obituary for Leone Moriarity (Haines)
Moriarity, Mary Leone (nee Haynes) Nov. 1, 1921 – Feb. 13, 2023
Leone Moriarity, the wife of the late Patrick John Moriarity, passed away peacefully on Feb. 13, 2023, at the Brantford General Hospital. Her family’s loving arms surrounded her. From prayer, she felt their love and comfort.
Leone was survived by her children Patricia (Gary), Philip (Cathy), Tim, Keith (Mary Anne), Gerard, Mary Anne, and her many grandchildren.
She remained at home living with her daughter Mary Anne and granddaughter Jessica. She enjoyed a warm and comfortable home, relaxing under her favourite backyard tree, enjoying BBQs, and helping in the kitchen.
Leone was a talented artist, and through prayer, she expressed her faith as a devout Catholic saying a rosary for each child daily until her passing. Her husband, Patrick, awaits his ‘girl’ to join him as Heaven’s newest angel.
A special thank-you is extended to the doctors and nurses on floor B6 at the BGH.
A family visitation was held at Wm. Kipp Funeral Home with her interment occurred at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
