Muriel Jean Emerson, (nee Sutor)
1928-2012
Peacefully, at Telfer Place on Wednesday September 26, 2012., in her 85th year.
Beloved wife of the late Richard Vernon Emerson (1988). Devoted and well -loved mother of Paul (Brenda) Emerson of Paris, Jane (Warren) Wilkins of Peterborough, John (Kerry) Emerson of Paris. Loving grandmother of Michael (Amanda), Brooke (Nick), Scott (Emily), Luke Emerson; Jenn, Derek (Terra) Bell; Gillian (Andrew), Kalaigh, Alexandra Wilkins, Jaimie, Hadleigh Emerson. Also survived by 5 great-grandchildren. Cherished sister of Douglas (Leone) Sutor of Guelph.
Jean was a life-long resident of Paris, devoted member of St. Paul's United Church, Founder of the Meals on Wheels for Paris, ardent traveller ( her suitcase always by the front door). Mom loved the special times she spent with her family and friends.
The family is very grateful for the friendship, kindness and love shown to Jean over the many years by her friends and for the loving care and assistance of the staff at Telfer Place.
There will be a service to celebrate Jean's full and remarkable life will be held at the Wm. Kipp Funeral Home, 184 Grand River St. N. Paris, on Saturday September 29, 2012 at 11:00 with Pastor Barbara Fullerton officiating. Friends may gather from 10-11 AM.
