Suddenly, just one week shy of his 83rd birthday, William (Bill) Simon, passed away Sunday, May 14 , 2006, in his home in Stonewall Manitoba.

Bill was born in Paris, Ontario. In 2000, he moved, along with his wife Florence, to Stonewall, Manitoba, to be near their son Jimm and family. Bill was predeceased by his wife Florence in 2004 and his brother Ed.

Bill spent most of his life living and working in the Paris area as a farmer, and later as a barber. Bill was an avid “rock hound” and a long time member of the Brantford Lapidary and Mineral Society. Bill was a loyal fan of the Toronto Blue Jays baseball team and watched every televised game for nearly 20 years.

Left to cherish her memory are, son Jimm, daughter-in-law Aileen, and grand-daughter Ceilidh as well as his sisters Claire and Joan and their extended families.

Friends will be received at the Wm Kipp Funeral Home 184 Grand River St. N. Paris; on Friday May 19, 2006 from 7-9 PM. Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Saturday at 11:00 AM with Rev. Stan Cox of Paris Presbyterian Church officiating. Interment Paris Cemetery.
