Ronald Marvin Cooper
Ron Cooper son of Marvin and Annie (HOLT) Cooper(deceased) and brother to Doug Cooper, passed away comfortably at Brantford General Hospital on Wednesday July 12 2023. Ron was in his 76th year, and had spent all of them in the Brantford area. Ron worked his entire career in manufacturing including both Whites, Massey and Rockwell Automation. In 1978 with his wife of 49 years Marleen (Goodwin) Cooper it was decided to relocate to Paris. It was in Paris where his daughter Jennifer (Jamie Leppard) and son Steven (Lindsay) were raised. Ron was a devoted long time member of the Paris optimist club. He volunteered his time and skills irregardless of the need for the club. Ron also spent his lifetime enjoying the craft of woodworking, cycling, gardening and of course anything Elvis related. Papa as he was referred to will be deeply missed by his 6 grandchildren Jackson, Ethan, Benjamin, Sienna, Blake and Anna. The family would like to thank all involved with Ron’s care over the last year including paramedics, the critical care unit at Brantford General Hospital, care staff and especially Michelle. Cremation has taken place. Friends may call at the Wm. Kipp Funeral Home, 184 Grand River St. N. Paris, on Friday July 21, 2023, from 7-9 PM. Funeral Services will be celebrated in the Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday July 22 at 11 AM. Reception to follow. The family is asking a donation to be made to either an Optimist club or the Alzheimer’s society in Ron’s name in lieu of flowers.
