Obituary for Rose Mary Brittain (Goepfrich)

Rose Mary Brittain, (nee Goepfrich)

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Rosemary Brittain (nee
Goepfrich) at St. Joseph's hospital in Hamilton, Ontario on June 21st, 2021. She
was in her seventy-third year and will always be remembered as a loving and
devoted mother, grandmother and friend.

Rosemary was the beloved mother of Paul (Cretia Williamson) and Sonja (Adam
Beck). Grandma Rosemary/Nana will be forever remembered by her grandchildren;
Ella Brittain, Mira Brittain, Grayson Beck and Elizabeth Beck. She will always be in
the hearts of her two sisters; Betty Anne Nuttall (Ken) and Patricia Pomeroy (John).
She will be dearly missed by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, friends,
neighbours and members of the Richwood United Church. Rosemary was
predeceased by her parents; John and Elizabeth Goepfrich (nee Resch).
Rosemary was the daughter of tobacco farmers and spent most of her life in the
Princeton/Richwood area. She worked for many years at Ayr Farmers Mutual
Insurance Company, but her life’s work was raising her family. Rosemary will be
remembered as being the consummate host, for her prowess as a baker, for her
immaculate home and gardens, and for her gorgeous smile and infectious laugh.
She had the ability to make friends instantly and to make everyone around her feel
important and loved. Her greatest joy in life were her four grandchildren. She leaves
them with countless memories, shared moments of laughter and a legacy of selfless
love and devotion.

Public visitation will take place on Thursday June 24, 2021, from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at the Wm. Kipp Funeral Home 184 Grand River St. N., Paris, Ontario.
