Violet May Rushton (nee Balkwill)
November 22, 1933 – July 14, 2020

Violet Rushton passed away peacefully and comfortable in the care of her family and the staff of the Telfer Place Retirement Residence in Paris Ontario July 14, 2020. Violet was predeceased by her husband of 63 years Robert (Bob) Rushton, her brother Richard (Dick) Balkwill and her sister Jessie Barker.
Violet will be missed dearly by her children, Jim (Paddy), Tom, Jayne, and Jon (Lorrie); sister Arlene Adams. brother Joe Balkwill (Brenda), fifteen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.
Violet was born and grew up in the Drumbo and Richwood area. She attended the Richwood School before going to high school in Woodstock. Violet and Bob raised their family in Paris and then spent thirty years in London.
For the past four years Violet lived at Telfer Place Retirement Residence in Paris.
The Rushton, Adams and Balkwill families wish to gratefully acknowledge and thank the staff and management at Telfer Place for their extreme efforts to provide care for Violet and to accommodate her family. We are proud of their work to keep everyone safe during these difficult times.
A celebration of Violet’s life will be held at a later date.
