Obituary for Walter "Blondie" Taylor

Taylor, Walter "Blondie" –
Peacefully at Park Lane Terrace, Paris in his 95th year on Saturday, February 11th 2017.

Beloved husband of Ethel (nee Thomson) for 70 years. Loving father of Nancy (Bob) Leman, Kathy (Paul) Latimer, Joe (Teri), Annette, and Jeff Taylor. Grandfather of eight grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
Predeceased by his siblings John "Rip", George, and Dorothy "Dot".
Walter was proud to serve his country with the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders and also was a member of the Canadian Legion Branch 29. A third generation barber, he carried on the trade from his father, E.J. Taylor. When he returned from the war in 1946, he ran the barbershop alongside his brother John "Rip", and sister Dorothy "Dot". Taylor's Barbershop was a fixture on the main street, downtown Paris, and later moved to Mechanic Street. At his request, there will be no funeral service or public visitation held. Family interment Paris Cemetery.
