Life Story for Wilfred Robinson "BUZZ" Cockburn

Cockburn, W.R. "Buzz"
Peacefully, at Brantford General Hospital, on Sunday May 2, 2010, a longime resident of Paris, in his 92nd year.
Buzz served overseas in WWII, and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 29. He was employed with White Farm Equipment until his retirement. He was a sport Enthusiast , he enjoyed baseball, golf, and hockey. He was the only person to bowl a perfect 5 pin game in Paris on April 11, 1957. Buzz played semi-pro hockey as a goaltender in 1938-39 for the Miami Clippers.
Beloved husband to the late Pearl (nee Forsyth) (1994); loved dad to Keith (Ann); cherished grandpa to Jennifer and step grandpa to Jordan and Alyssa. He will be sadly missed by Lorri and his pets Suds and Skittles. Predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Theresa Cockburn, a brother Roy (Doris), and sisters, Velma Webber and his twin Marion Cunningham (Howard). Friends may call at the Wm. Kipp Funeral Home, 184 Grand River St. N. Paris on Tuesday 7-9 PM and Wednesday 12-1 PM. Funeral service to follow in the chapel on Wednesday at 1:00 PM. Interment Paris Cemetery. A Legion Service under the auspice of Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 29 will be held on Tuesday at 6:30 PM. in the funeral home. Donations to the Brant Twin Pad Complex would be appreciated.
