Payne, William “Bill” Cunningham –
October 24, 1931 – March 25, 2019
Peacefully, after a lengthy illness, At St. Joseph’s Hospital, Hamilton, on March 25, 2019; a long-time resident of Paris.
Beloved husband for over 62 years to Mary Lou (nee Berkeley); loved father to Christine (Bob) Devereux and Sandra (Ken ) Kirby; proud grandpa to Nadine (Paolo) Iacullo, Ashley, Patrick (Kristina) and Jennifer and great grandpa to Parker. He is survived by many nieces & nephews and many friends.
Predeceased by his parents William Sidney Payne and Martha Elizabeth Cunningham; a sister Mary Elizabeth O’Neill.
Bill worked for several years as a Commercial Printer with Davis & Henderson, Melrex and Paris Graphics. He enjoyed Hockey, especially the Detroit Red Wings, Baseball and his fishing trips.
Cremation has taken place. A Private Family service will be held. Friends are welcome to join the family at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 29 Paris (70 William St) on Thursday April 11, from 3-5 Pm for a Celebration of Bill’s Life.
Donations to the Legion or Sick Kids Hospital Toronto would be appreciated.
