At Brantford General Hospital, on Tuesday April 18, 2006, of Paris, in his 95th year.
Smokey was a part of the original induction into the Paris Sports Wall of Fame, he was also employed with Penmans for over 50 years.
Beloved husband for 69 years to Evelyn (nee Ashby); loved father to Eileen "Joe" VanderHarst (Bert), Pauline "Jake" Quelch (Bill), William Jr. (Melissa) and Alfred (Kevin Raymond); cherished grandfather to 14 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. He was the last surviving member of his family.
A private family service will be held at the Wm. Kipp Funeral Home, 184 Grand River St. N. Paris on Thursday. Interment Paris Cemetery.
