McKay, Dorothy “Anne” –
1930 – 2011.

Peacefully, with her family by her side, on Wednesday February 23, 2011.
Beloved wife of Allan McKay for 52 years, she was glamorous, beautiful, and an amazing wife and proud mother of Micheline (Richard Comparey), Martha (Victor Jakowlew), Andrew (Catherine), Angus (Sarah) and Malcolm (Linda). Cherished Granny to 11 grandchildren. Sister to Janet Hannon, John Renaud (deceased), Harry Renaud, and MarMae Renaud (deceased).

Anne lived life robustly every day and her spirit and courage are an inspiration to all who knew her. Born to Harry and ‘Dimp’ Renaud, she grew up in Montreal to become a graduate of nursing at Montreal General Hospital (1954). An amazing lady, her love and wisdom guided her family as they led a full life in Quebec, England and Newfoundland prior to settling in Ayr, Ontario in 1973. There, she established The Homespun Shops of Ayr and Paris, a career she adored and thrived at for 27 years. Anne truly was one of a kind. Cremation has taken place.

Friends may call at the Ayr Chapel, Wm. Kipp Funeral Home, 183 Northumberland St. Ayr on Friday 2-4 & 7-9 PM. A Memorial Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday at 2:00 PM.
