We were sorry to hear today of the passing of your father. We met Charlie on our trips to Roseville in 2004 and 2005. Your Dad was such a wonderful gentleman. He had a twinkle in his eye, and his love of his family was so evident. He and we shared interests in family history, and he enjoyed talking about early Perrin family happenings in Roseville. He kindly let us take a picture of a very early photograph of the family of William and Mary Ann Perrin, and shared with us the story of the top of their gravestone being sawn off (the cemetery board thought it was too high, and the next generation of Perrins were sufficiently annoyed that they refused to be buried there.
