THEDE, Clifford Frederick “Fred”

With sadness, we announce the passing of our Dad at the Brantford General Hospital on Tuesday, January 25, 2011 in his 99'" year. Lifelong resident on his fourth concession farms of Princeton. Beloved husband of the late Eloise (Turvey)(1995). Loving Father of five children: Elinor Kesteloot and Butch Day of Paris, Jean and Ralph de Boer of Innerkip, Kevin and Kelly of Ingersoll, Donna and Wayne Gurney of Drumbo and Terry and Sue Buck of Princeton. Fondly remembered by his 13 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren. Predeceased by a son in law Ed and siblings Alice and Reg Wallace, Les and Marion Thede, Velma Thede and James Whitlow. Survived by sister Ella Whitlow and Sister-in- law Helen Turvey and Brother-in-law Dennis and Carol Turvey.
Fred always enjoyed attending local dances, the couples club in Princeton, travelling to far off destinations and curling until he was ninety. He received a life membership from the Paris Curling Club. Many neighbours will remember his friendly wave as he cut his lawn at his home between Drumbo and Princeton. More people will remember his lively songs and many jokes and stories. He was still sharing his jokes with the staff at Telfer Place in Paris where he resided during his last few years.
Friends will be received at the Wm Kipp Funeral Home, 184 Grand River Street North, Paris on Thursday 2:30 -4:30 PM and 7-9 PM. Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home chapel on Friday at 2:30 PM with Rev. David Catton officiating. Spring Interment Princeton Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
