Rife, David William –
At Grand River Hospital, Freeport Health Centre on Monday February 9, 2015, a longtime resident of Ayr, in his 70th year.
Dave was very active in the Ayr Area, he was a member of the Galt Hunt Club, the former Ayr and District Chamber of Commerce, Ayr Curling Club, Ayr K-40 Club, and Ayr & District Joint Service Club, Vice Chairman of IPM (1994), Former Champion of the Ayr Pork BBQ, a Honorary life member of the WRPA, and an Associate Member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 126.
Beloved husband to Gloria (nee Alexander); loved father to Wayne (Christina), Cyrus (Tracy) and stepfather to Marg Ohlheiser, Brian Olheiser, and Penny Olheiser; cherished Papa to Samantha, Matthew, Victoria, Emma, Cara, Ashley, Katie, Chad, Devon, Jeremy and Carlie; brother to Rosemary Phillips (Bill) and brother in law to Bev Parsons, Linda Gates (Peter), and Ron Alexander (Leona), and Robert Bruce. Nephew to Don and Anne Oliver. Predeceased by his parents Arnold and Jessie Rife.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Remembrances for Dave will be held at the Waterloo Regional Police Association and Recreation Centre (1128 Rife Rd. Cambridge (North Dumfries) ) on Saturday February 28, 2015 from 12:00 – 3:30 PM.
