Life Story for Doreen Lily Birdsell (Radford)

Doreen Lily  Birdsell (Radford)
passed away peacefully, at the John Noble Home on Wednesday, October 15, 2008. Doreen L (nee Radford) Birdsell, in her 94th year, was the beloved wife of the late William F. Birdsell (November 4, 1991) Born near Burford, the daughter of Alice Brooks and Charles Dayton Radford. Her and her husband farmed near Burford for many years before moving into to Paris in 1969. She was predeceased by a brother and three sisters. She was the dear mother of the late Marian Farrington (October 20, 2003) Doreen is survived by two sons, Ernest and his wife Maureen of Harrowsmith, Bill and his wife Jan of Guelph, her son-in-law James Farrington of Princeton and her daughter-in-law Sophie Birdsell of Brantford, eight grand children, seventeen great-grand children and one great-great-grand son. Doreen was a strong woman who gave fully of her love and all of her resources to her family, her friends and her community. Family was very important to her and she wrote and kept in contact with relatives across North America and she shared the stories of events and achievements of her children and grand children with all her friends. She was particularly proud of two of her grand children, who she spent a lot of time with in their youth. Erin Lynn Gray of Kitchener and Mark Birdsell of Guelph. Friends may call at the Wm. Kipp Funeral Home, 184 Grand River St. N. Paris on Saturday from 1-2 PM. Service will will follow in the chapel at 2:00 PM with . Cremation with Interment later Pioneer Cemetery Burford.
