HIGGINS, Edward “TED’.
Peacefully at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, on Thursday July 21, 2011, a long time resident of North Dumfries Township, in his 87th year.
Ted was a long time Councilor with the North Dumfries Township, serving the Township and Waterloo Region in many capacities.
Beloved husband to Doris (Nee Gildner); loved father to the late W.E. (Ted) Higgins (1984); dear brother to Irene Joyce Taivainen, John Higgins (the late Hazel), Bill Higgins, Tom Higgins (Shirley) and brother in law to Helen Higgins. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a sister Nora and a brother Fred Higgins.
A celebration of life will be held at Knox United Church (92 Northumberland St. Ayr) on Wednesday August 3, 2011 from 1-4 PM. Eulogies will be said at 3:00 PM.
