Elaine Yvonne Purchase of Paris passed away on Friday, October 7, 2011 with her family at her side. She was in her 92nd year. Elaine was predeceased by her loving husband Jack Purchase (1996). She was the daughter of William and Florence Gill of Paris, Ontario and predeceased by brothers William Gill (2011), Verdun Gill (1935) and Mildred Sutherland (1984). She will be greatly missed by her devoted children, daughter Barbara Peirce (Jack) of Paris, sons Wayne Purchase (Irma) of Fenwick and Bryne Purchase of Almonte; and grandchildren, Robert Hymers, Lesley Anne Hymers (Paul), Michelle Purchase, Tanya Purchase and Kathleen Purchase (Perry); and great grandson, Alexander Purchase Betzner. Elaine was also a mother and grandmother to a large extended family. Friends will be received at the Wm. KIPP FUNERAL HOME, 184 Grand River Street North, Paris on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. where funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 13 at 11:00 a.m. Reverend Dr. Stephen Hendry of St. James Anglican Church, Paris officiating. Interment Paris Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Brantford General Hospital or a charity of your choice would be gratefully appreciated by the family.
