Life Story for Erma Evelyn Brooks (Swanwick)

Erma Evelyn  Brooks (Swanwick)
Peacefully, after a brief illness at Brantford General Hospital, on Tuesday January 8, 2008, alongtime resident of the Bethel Community, in her 88th year.
Erma was a talented musician, who graduated from Royal Toronto Conservatory of Music, she belonged to the Brantford Music Club, an active member of Bethel Stone United Church, and past member of the Paris Lioness. Erma was a fashion illustrator for Eaton's Department Stores. She was a well known philantropist in the Bethel Area and around the world. Beloved wife of Howard; loved sister in law to Doris Martin (Edward). Predeceased by her parents, Alfred and Pearl Swanwick, and a sister in law Enid Bray.
Friends will be received at the Wm. KIPP FUNERAL HOME, 184 Grand River Street North, Paris on Thursday 7 to 9 p.m. where funeral service will be held on Friday, at 1:30 p.m. with Reverend Adrianne Lindsay of Bethel Stone United Church officiating. Interment Woodland Cemetery, Hamilton. Donations to Bethel Stone Church, Cancer Society, or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
