At St. Joseph’s Hospital, Hamilton on Thursday February 17, 2011, in his 86th year; beloved husband of the late Helen Shaw Mercer (2008); loved father of Debra and David Sumsion, Roger Sharpe, Janice and Garry McCormick, and Rob Sharpe; cherished grandfather of Scott and Wendy Sumsion, Carrie Sumsion and Graham, Jamie McCormick and Clara, Chris McCormick and Christie, Ian Sharpe and Alycia, and Brianna Sharpe; great grampy of Wyatt, Owen and Pacey Sumsion; and dear brother of Deanna (Clarence) Steinoff. Frank was a proud Army veteran of the Second World War, a retired longtime employee of Wabco and a former Service Officer at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #29, Paris. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service and Legion Service under auspice Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 29, Paris will be held at the Wm. KIPP FUNERAL HOME, 184 Grand River Street North, Paris on Saturday, March 5 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation one hour prior to service time. Reverend Stephen Hendry of St. James Anglican Church, Paris officiating. Interment of cremains in St. James Anglican Cemetery, Paris at a later date.
