Mantle, Frederick Cyril “Fred”
Peacefully, at Park Lane Terrace, Paris, on Saturday October 27, 2012, a longtime resident of the Paris area, in his 88th year.
Fred farmed north of Paris for many years. He was very active with minor hockey, serving as President of OMHA. He was a Scout Leader in Ayr, who enjoyed gardening and was an avid outdoorsman.
Beloved husband of 61 years to Mary (nee Keachie); loved father to Tom (Lorna), Jim (Susan), Gail McDonald, Carole Robb (Al), and Brenda Edwards (Brian); cherished grandpa to 14 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Predeceased a son William George in infancy, his parents Thomas and Nellie, and brothers Ronald and Arnold in infancy.
Friends may call at the Wm. Kipp Funeral Home, 184 Grand River St. N. Paris on Tuesday October 30, 2012 from 2-4 &7-9 PM. Funeral Services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday at 2:00 PM. Interment Paris Plains Cemetery.
