Message: Please inform yourself about this often misunderstood and misdiagnosed disease . It affects so many people and is harder on family and friends then it is on the person afflicted by it . It took years to figure out for us and then once diagnosed , all the other pieces fell into place , but too late . The hardest thing is to see someone totally strong and healthy have a mind that wanders away from them . As a family we stand there helplessly watching and not being able to make an impact to lessen the effects . Please inform yourself by reading the pamphlets or even taking a small info course a few nights a week, provided by the Alzheimer society . It will make understanding what you are about to go thru a lot easier .
