McCrea, Gladys Eva

Peacefully, at Telfer Place, Paris, on Sunday May 29, 2016, a longtime resident of the Glen Morris area, in her 99th year.
Gladys was born and lived her entire life on the home farm on the McLean School Road before moving to and becoming part of the wonderful Telfer Place family for the last 10 plus years of her life.
Daughter of the late Peter and Bertha McCrea (nee Wilson); Cherished sister to Mary Sharp( the late Don); Much loved aunt to Donna Mundie (Brian) and their children Stephen, Thomas and Ainsley , Heather MacKenzie (Bill) and their children Laura, Peter (Candace) and Blaire, John Sharp (Shawna) and their children Tori and Alanna and Bill Sharp (Martha) and their children Adam, Stephanie and James. Predeceased by her brothers William (Marjorie) and Nelson.
Gladys loved being part of the community around the Glen and taught elementary school for over 40 years after graduating in 1941. She loved being part of the Glen Morris United Church and the UCW, the Horticultural Society and the time spent knitting and quilting for family and friends. Gladys always had a personal touch or anecdote to add to any occasion.
Friends may call at the Wm. Kipp Funeral Home, 184 Grand River St. N. Paris on Wednesday June 1st, 2016 from 1-2 PM. The Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 PM with Pastor Brenda Otawa officiating. Refreshments served followed by internment at Glen Morris Cemetery.
