Kelman, J. Nelson
Peacefully, surrounded by his family, at Brantford General Hospital, on Sunday March 7, 2010, of St. George and formerly of Glen Morris, in his 75th year.
Nelson was a member of Glen Morris United Church serving on many boards including a 52 year member of the choir. He farmed in Glen Morris for many years, and was co-owner of Kelman Farm Equipment Ltd. He was an avid baseball fan who enjoyed country music, dancing and journalling.
Beloved husband to Margaret (nee Stark) for 50 years; loved dad to BJ Crosbie (Neil), of Mortlach, SK, Scott (Maria) of Glen Morris, and Rhonda Vanderwieln (John) of Chesley; cherished grandpa/papa to Graeme (Chloe), Ian, Eric, and Nadine Crosbie, Alexander. Melissa, and Jordan Kelman, and Colleen, Thomas and Ben Vanderwieln; dear brother to Carolyn, David (Marie) and brother in law to Gordon McRuer. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents George and Laura, and a sister Barbara McRuer.
Friends may call at the Wm. Kipp Funeral Home, 184 Grand River St. N. Paris, on Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9PM. Funeral Services will be held in the Funeral Home chapel on Thursday at 11:00 AM with Rev. Brenda Otawa officiating. Interment Glen Morris Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Juravinski Cancer Centre, Glen Morris United Church Cemetery Board, or Brantford General Hospital Palliative Care Unit would be appreciated.
