Obituary for James William "JW" Balkwill

Balkwill, James William “JW”
Peacefully, at Park Lane Terrace, Paris, on Monday January 9th 2012, a lifelong resident and farmer in the Drumbo Area, in his 83rd year.
Jim was active with hockey in the Ayr area, he was a co-founder of the Ayr Centennials. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed the Drumbo Coffee Shop. He sang with the Drumbo and District Men’s Choir and was a member of Willis United Church.
Beloved husband to Grace (nee Hanke); loved dad to Susan Reader (Jim) of Calgary, Jim (Ella) of Falkland, John (Gail) of Drumbo and Lynn Eby (Mark) of Ayr; cherished grandpa to 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; dear brother to Lorna Hodgson of Simcoe. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his brother Herb and sisters Edith Cadwell, Kay Mitchell, and Frances Struck.
Friends may call at the Wm. Kipp Funeral Home, 184 Grand River St. N. Paris on Thursday January 12, 2012 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. A Memorial Service will be held at Willis United Church Drumbo on Friday January 13, 2012 at 1:00 PM. Interment following cremation Wolverton Cemetery.
