Condolences

Condolence From: Dominique Thornback (granddaughter)
Condolence: Dear Grapna, we have had so many memories in the past, my most favorite is when at the end of every visit you would always come out on the deck and scare us when we were getting into the vehicle. Also I loved it when you gave us those little candies every visit, because you know how much I love candy! And every morning at breakfast how you would tease us when pouring our milk, how you kept going higher and higher up waiting for us to say "when". Plus how you always had a bag of chips waiting for us, and Dad would always say, "Hey! I never got that when I was little!" But most of all, I will miss you. Adios Amigo! Love, Dominique :)

Condolence: Grapna

I loved you more than you know. I loved watching the football games with you and discussing the many different things about the game. I still remember you chasing us around when we were little kids and I screamed and screamed until you stopped. Those little candies at the end of each visit touched me in ways I never thought they could. I loved how you always made mash potatoes when we came over, and how you'd pretend you were broke. I will always remember waking up in the morning in that upstairs room and hearing you go to the kitchen with sammy following. You were so dear to my heart, a role model to me in your own unique way. I remember you picking me up in your blue truck, taking me to get a new pair of hockey gloves. You were there for me in such a huge way in my sports and in my life. I loved giving you grape jelly and watching your reaction when you opened it Being able to go into your room and play cards on the computer. I will miss you so much in ways even I can't imagine. I truly hope to see you in heaven.
Undying love from your grandson

Condolence From: Grandson Jacob Thornback
Condolence: I have had so many memories with Grapna, (my way to pronounce his name). Whether it be the great huge breakfasts, the surprise show ups to baseball games. Or letting me shoot his BB gun, watching soccer games with him, or mini golf in his bedroom. But my greatest memory of all, was when i was really young, he would pop out his teeth, and chase me around the house. I was so scared, but looking back on it was a lot of fun. Those are the things that stay with you forever, you will be missed, and you are loved. Bye Grapna.

Condolence: Ah dad, so many memories to treasure! I am really going to miss the way in which you took such pleasure in planning and preparing a delicious meal for everyone, the big fry for breakfast...the do not disturb while you watched your "football"(soccer) matches...the laughter that came from deep down within you...your liking of John Wayne and the old western movies...getting us hooked on "Gibbs" NCIS...your enjoying the Bee Gees lol...being the kids biggest fan in their sports, always checking in on how they did and encouraging them on...our big talks out on the deck about life and politics...your homemade wine -- there is none other that matches it 😊... every dog you ever had was always named Sam; male or female 😄...your love for boats...your love for mom (Cath). Gonna miss you.

Condolence: Dear Campbell Family. It is never easy to say goodbye to a loved one. However, having been with Jim on his final journey sharing memories of joy and sorrow will forever be in your hearts. You provided him with the comforts of home surrounding him with love and care. We enjoyed visits with Jim and will miss his wonderful sense of humour. He truly cherished his Scottish heritage.

Condolence: Dear Campbell Family. It is with sadness that you say goodbye to your husband, father, grandfather, and it saddens us all and makes our hearts heavy. In his final weeks, days and hours, surrounded with a sky full of love in the comfort of his own home, you allowed him to give and receive his goodbyes and in this way, he was a very rich and lucky man. Jim, a real scottish gentleman, with that wonderful Gaelic accent! He was the wittiest of wits and he will never be forgotten. Our sincerest love to you all. Monique, Mladen, Vincent. You all have the peace in knowing he was loved and comforted by you on his journey. He gave you all one last gift and that is bringing your family together to celebrate and remember his life.
