We have lived "across the street" for 45 years. What wonderful neighbours Jack and Shirley were. We went on trips to Florida with them and our families; we went on bus trips - just the adults and they were great travelling companions; we watched each other houses when the other couple was away and broke up the parties if and when they happened. I feel we were always there for each other but not 'in our faces'. When they put in a pool, our kids were allowed to use it as long as one of us was there- and so it should be! Excellent neighbours and we will miss him as we miss Shirley.
