Moriarity, Lilian Florence Mary
Our hearts are broken to announce the sudden passing of the world’s most famous Nana in her 94th year. Born on November 30th, 1925 in London England where she met the love of her life William H. Moriarity (1989) whom she married in 1946. Bravely immigrating to Canada as a war bride, Nana established herself as the Queen of Paris where she lovingly raised 2 children Christine Ashton and Michael Moriarity. She will be greatly missed by her son-in-law Gary Ashton and Arlete Hill. Nana was so proud of her precious grandchildren who she lovingly referred to as her flowers, Erin Esposito (J-S), Emily McDonald (Clark), Sarah Jackson (Cody) and Eliza Namisniak (Daniel). Nana’s feet tickles will be greatly missed by her great grandchildren, Noah and Edith Esposito and Tucker and Rex McDonald. She will also be sadly missed by brother Alfred (Mary 2015), sisters Irene and Sheila (2011) and the entire Moriarity clan. Not only did Nana have many family and friends in Paris, she will be missed by many in England, Holland, Grand Cayman and many other countries. Nana was a member of the C.W.L, Paris Legion 29, morning coffee group, senior citizen club, school breakfast program and meals on wheels (where she prepared meals for many younger than her). She left us with her example of loving life and each other, even on the most difficult days. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Lilian’s name to the charity of your choice.
Friends may call at the Wm. Kipp Funeral Home, 184 Grand River St. N. Paris on Sunday Nov. 3, 2019 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at Sacred Heart RC Church (17 Washington St. Paris) on Monday Nov. 4, 2019 at 11:00 AM. Interment Sacred Heart Cemetery Paris.
In Lieu of Flowers, Donations to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 29 would be appreciated.

My deepest condolences on the loss of your mother. I always remember Lillian as witty and full of life. She had a smile for everyone. She was a lovely friend to my own mother and father. I remember her at the old Christmas Teas that the Church used to run, pouring tea, with gloves on, and a smile and chat for all. You will surely miss her.

So sorry for your loss. We were neighbors of Lillian for 9 years and my husband did odd jobs for her and I vacuumed sometimes for her. She loved having tea in her china cups...we just found out about her passing tonight. (Sunday-too late for the visitation) . She will be forever missed, but I am glad she passed at home. She wanted to be in her home that her husband and her cherished so much as long as she could be.

Michael, Christine and all the grand kids........Aunt Lilian was a true gem. Your word about her being the "Queen of Paris" are so true. She was beautiful inside and out, so gracious, kind, loving. That she lived to be so close to being 95, and so healthy, is lovely, but does not take away the pain of losing such a wonderful women. I really wish I could be there so reminisce with all the Moriarity's. S ending our love from the west, Donna, Brad, Katy & Ginny.
